Open to all EFLers: we are celebrating the end of the Challenge by having a bowling party at X Lanes in Little Tokyo at 7pm next Saturday, March 7th. The cost is $8, and you can pay by paying cash the next time you come to the gym. We will announce winners around 8pm, so don’t miss it!

CFCOA Big Bang Competition/Re-Grand Opening Party!

Join us for a day of friendly CrossFit competition with your fellow CFCOA athletes!  We’re celebrating our Grand Re-Opening with the Big Bang Competition, Saturday, October 11, 2014.

We have amazing sponsors for this event. You’ll have the opportunity to sample products from vendors like SFH, Gunpowder, and Kill Cliff or perhaps you’ll need a massage at some point.  We got you covered there too.

There are prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, advanced, intermediate, and beginner in each competition WOD with giveaways through out the day.

CFCOA Represents at the Civil War CF Comp!

Coaches Rose and Angel teamed up with Ass-Kickers Lyndsey and Brian for an all-day fun-in-the-sun competition down in Huntington Beach. This 4-person team ended up winning 4th place and had a blast doing so. Congrats to our CFCOA team and a big thank you to all of our members who drove down to HB to cheer them on!

Second Annual In-House Competition and CFCOA Grand Re-Opening!

Come out and test how much you’ve improved since the last challenge. Only 3 classes that day – 8am – 9:15am Advanced, 9:15am – 10:30am Core & 10:30am – 11:45am Intermediate (Come to the class level you are at. Please do not come to a level above or below what you are qualified for – if unsure, ask a coach)

Only two more weeks until the end of the Eat for Life! Challenge, and all of you are invited to come out and celebrate! Winners will be announced and bowling/drinking will be happening. Meet us on Saturday, March 15th at Shatto Lanes in Koreatown at 7pm. Only $5.95 per game and shoe rental is $3. Hope to see you there!

The 2014 CrossFit Open is Here!

For the next 5 weeks, the CrossFit Open will be taking place, and what that means for CFCOA is that from now until March 29th, every Saturday, we will be doing the next Open WOD. Even if you are not registered for the Open, come out and try your best at these challenging workouts. Open WODs will take place during the 8am, 9am, and 10am classes. Barbell at 11am and Endurance at 12pm will remain unchanged.

First Ever CFCOA In-House Competition!

Come out dressed as your favorite super hero and give it all you’ve got, or come out and root for your fellow CFCOA members as they do so! Either way, join us on Saturday, August 3rd starting at 10am for food, music, and sweat (registration for the athletes starts at 9am). Prizes will be given for the top 3 athletes in each category (beginner, intermediate, and advanced).
